Two out of three posters for two films: Ada Apa dengan Cinta? The Raid
/1/ Ada Apa dengan Cinta?
The main hero faces a difficult choice: to remain faithful to her company or to follow the call of her heart. She’s attracted to a silent young man who loves literature and looks at the world in his own way. The posters were based on paper, splintered and in a cage, to show the main motives behind the film — poetry and school. Printing is in the style of a school notebook, and colours are similar to the effect of a heat screen — a reference to adolescent emotion and energy.

/2/ The Raid
A squad of special forces has been instructed to break into a multi-storey house located in the heart of Jakarta’s slums and arrest a drug baron based there. In front of them is the 15th floor of hell, where death is threatened by every wrong step. It was based on the creation of glass blocks to convey the essence of the main building around which events unfold: its apparent accessibility: it is in plain sight; and, at the same time, it is fragile: no one has been able to get out. Printing expands from the first poster to the last, as if it’s shutting down the viewer’s access, and the more the characters stay in the building, the harder it is.
