The modern children’s book market is oversaturated with fast, templated graphics. In contrast, I create a series of illustrations for Andersen’s tales, drawing on the traditions of classical book art. The relevance of the project is to bring back to children the feeling of a «big book» — a deep and coherent visual world.

Each keychain is made of plywood using laser cutting technology and consists of three flat pieces fastened together. This construction allows me to accurately convey the recognizable silhouettes of temples. Each keychain comes with an illustrated postcard containing brief information about the city and the temple. This turns the souvenir into a small educational kit that is fun to collect and give as a gift
