Viktoria Isaeva / animator
Hey! My name is Viktoria Isaeva and I’m an animator, animation director and concept artist

I’m a visual storyteller passionate about bringing ideas to life through animation. I enjoy exploring different visual styles, experimenting with techniques, and creating stories that connect with people.I’m currently looking to collaborate with animation studios, creative teams, and businesses on projects ranging from original animated films to commissioned videos and visual content. I’m always excited to meet people who share a passion for creative ideas and turn them into something meaningful together.

My projects
Short animated film «Feet off the ground»
Idea and Challenge
A story about returning to the past and finding the courage to move forward. Through memories of childhood adventures, the film explores nostalgia, lost innocence, and the fears we carry into adulthood. The challenge was to connect these two timelines and express the heroine’s inner conflict through visual storytelling.Character design
My approach
This project explores how the past can help us move forward rather than hold us back. Through small details, familiar places, and the quiet courage of facing an old fear, I wanted to capture that bittersweet feeling of returning to somewhere that no longer feels the same. For me, animation is a way to make these fragile, deeply personal experiences visible and turn them into a story others can recognize themselves in.

Short animated film for Tolerance Center
Idea and challenge
This animation was created on commission for the Tolerance Center. The goal was to show parents and teachers that the Tolerance Center is a safe space where schoolchildren can communicate openly, make mistakes without fear of judgment, and learn to respect one another. The challenge was to communicate these values through a relatable story rather than direct explanation.Character design

Location concept art
My approach
I decided that the most effective way to communicate the values of the Tolerance Center was to let viewers see its impact for themselves. I wanted to offer an inside look at the Center’s work, allowing adults to observe the methods it uses to engage with children. To achieve this, I studied the Center’s educational programme and the scripts of specific activities. To create a sense of comfort and safety, I used a muted, warm colour palette, a simplified cartoon style, and a collage aesthetic inspired by school notebooks.

Music video «New Wave»
Idea and challenge
I made an animated music video «New wave» for the Belarusian band Borisovsky Trakt. The technique combines frame-to-frame digital 2D animation, photographic backgrounds, and stop-motion. The music video tells a lighthearted romantic story about two strangers who meet on the streets of the city. One of the main goals was to create a retro-inspired music video whose visual style complemented the sound of the music and the imagery evoked by the lyrics. To achieve this, I gave the video a film-like aesthetic and chose a 3:4 aspect ratio.

My approach
The city plays a central role in Borisovsky Trakt’s songs, so it was important to me to make the urban environment one of the main characters of the video — a living space that changes and evolves alongside the human protagonists. To create the strongest possible sense of atmosphere, I decided to use photographs of the city as backgrounds and chose Minsk, where the band members live, as the filming location. The characters were based on the band’s lead singers, filling the video with familiar faces and visual references that viewers can enjoy discovering as they watch.
