Toy
The New Year’s ornament is dedicated to childhood, so it takes the form of a stacked pyramid featuring various colors and shapes. Each layer symbolizes certain aspects of the New Year and winter in general. For instance, the first and bottom layer is the strong foundation of traditions, bright blue represents a frosty evening, the star is a symbol of the New Year, the light blue layer with cracked segments alludes to snowflakes, the green heart symbolizes family and friends united by the celebration around the Christmas tree, and the orange ball is a favorite December treat—mandarins.

For a toy, it is important that it remains lightweight yet durable. For this reason, I suggest using ABC plastic as the material, which is considered a sufficiently impact-resistant substance. Furthermore, it accepts paint and sanding easily, allowing it to achieve the glossy finish shown in the visualizations.

Packaging
Continuing the theme of past memories, the packaging references old containers for sugar, cereals, and other goods that were once popular. These evoke memories of childhood in the countryside, which was the feeling I wanted to convey. The word «sugar» was chosen not only as a reference but also as a metaphor for joyful childhood.
