Masque was a party following the Maison Margiela show in 1998. The concept of the event was anonymity and the erasure of the individual behind a mask. Guests were concealed behind masks; names and statuses lost their significance. Masque was an experiment in anonymity, where everyone became part of a singular, nameless image.
