Motion Designer — Visual Development & Animation
Hello! I’m Anastasia, a motion designer passionate about turning ideas into compelling animated pieces. I develop original visual styles and bring them to life through animation, making each project distinctive and purposeful. How does an idea become a living, moving story?
My approach
A finished motion piece is more than a sequence of animated images. It begins with a clear idea, develops through visual research and design, and takes shape through storyboarding, timing and animation.

What tools do I use?

My Toolkit
From visual development to final animation, I use a versatile set of tools to create, refine and bring ideas to life.Illustration & Graphic Design Adobe Illustrator · Adobe Photoshop · Procreate · FigmaMotion & 3D Adobe After Effects · Blender«How to recognise a witch?»
Explainer
Duration: 2 min
Tone: Educational & Entertaining
Audience: 12+
About the project: the video explores the methods used to identify witches during the Salem witch trials, a time when any behavior, physical trait, or chance coincidence could serve as evidence of witchcraft.
My goal: to present these shocking historical facts in a playful, humorous way, using unexpected visuals and animation to turn a dark chapter of history into an engaging and entertaining story.
Visual development
The style is based on flat graphics featuring a high-contrast palette and fluid shapes with characteristic swirls. Additionally, various blending modes, a speckled texture, and film grain have been incorporated to enhance the atmosphere and immerse the viewer in a witchy theme.

Storyboarding
Animation
I adjust easing curves to match the character of each movement, making the animation feel more expressive and intentional.

Animation doesn’t just bring the story to life — it adds another layer of meaning, playing with the narrative through movement and visual humour.

About the project: The multimedia book «In Search of Three Horses» tells the story of a brave reindeer from the village of Mezen who brought the sun back to the sky and saved the New Year.
My goal: to create an engaging and visually appealing children’s multimedia experience celebrating the New Year, working in collaboration with another designer to bring a festive story to life.
Visual development
The visual language combines 2D graphics and 3D elements with a contemporary interpretation of Mezen folk painting.
