The performance «Ground Covering» is an attempt to restore uniqueness to a routine ritual.
Due to my illness, I have to apply moisturizing cream every day. I have been performing this action for over seven years, and so it has become routine for me. Now, I do not focus on the process of moisturizing my body; instead, I think more about my studies or pressing issues. However, during the first months of treatment, this process was a special moment for me—a time when I could physically feel my own existence.
